Regarding the public requirement by the Government of Ecuador, the Press Office of the President of the Republic wishes to inform:

1.   That the great evidence was the widely known presence of alias 'Raul Reyes' in Ecuador, attempting against the Colombian people from that country. 

2.   Colombia, just as all Nations, has, not only the right, but also the obligation to protect its citizens.
