This specialized agency of the United Nations coordinates international postal services. The UPU carries out the role of promoting and developing communication among the States by improving postal services.

Among the many objectives of this agency we can mention: the strengthening of the organization; increasing the volume of mailing by providing up-to-date products and services; improving the quality of postal services; taking part in postal technical assistance requested by member countries; promoting international collaboration and cooperation in postal issues, as well as establishing rules and fees.
