Bilateral cooperation and official aid agreed upon with Colombia’s partners focuses on complementing the National Government’s efforts to consolidate this country’s development and democratic prosperity.
For this reason, political outlines have been established for the successful transfer of technical and financial cooperation, humanitarian development aid and to diversify the cooperation agenda both thematically and geographically.
In response to the National Development Plan “2011-2014 Prosperity for All”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will seek to strengthen ties of cooperation with its traditional partners through the negotiation of new agreements and cooperation programs, as well as promoting the international agenda towards other horizons.
To achieve these objectives sources of cooperation must be identified and the characteristics and instruments through which Colombia receives this type of help must be analyzed.
