The following documents can only be Apostilled/Legalized through our online system:
- Judicial Background Certificate
- INVIMA Free Sale Certificate
- INVIMA Obligatory Sanitary Notification
- Colombian Machine Readable Passport
To personally head to our office in Bogotá:
- Have a valid e-mail address.
- Go to our office located at Av Carrera 19 N° 98 - 03 Sexto Piso, Edificio Torre 100. Oficina de Apostilla y Legalización.
- Show your National ID Card.
- The documents to be Apostilled/Legalized must have the name of the destination country printed in the top right border.
- All documents must be signed by a public official:
- Issued by public authority: the signature of a public official, exercising his duties whose signature must be registered in the data base of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Issued by private entities: The signature of the document must be recognized by a Public Notary and his/her signature registered in the database of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- You may pay through the PSE button, any office of GNB Sudameris, the bank cashier inside the premises or a Servibanca ATM.
- Signature certification in attached documents are not valid.
- All documents requiring translation into a language other than Spanish must be translated by an official translator whose signature must be Apostilled or Legalized. Consult here the list of official translators. Once the document has been translated the signature of the Official Translator must be Apostilled/Legalized as well. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs cannot be held responsible for the quality and charges of the hired works.
- The user must verify the Apostille/Legalization, in case an error was found, a correction can only be requested in the 24 work hours after the Apostille/Legalization was issued.
- The Apostille/Legalization and the receipt of the transaction will arrive electronically to the email submitted for such a purpose.

The in person service at the authorized offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs allows you to Apostille/Legalize any document that is subject to the service as long as you fullfill the requirements stated above.

At this office in Bogota the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has an internet room at your service where you can receive information on how to access the online application system, as well as personalized service where you can drop off your documents for a later scheduled pick up. The Ministry also counts with citizen service modules which are conditioned to the number of documents you will apostille/legalize.
Service Hours:
- Internet Room and Modules: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm non stop.
- Personalized Drop Off Service:
- Document drop off: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 9:30 am
- Document pick up: Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm
If you will use the Personalized Drop Off Service you can leave packages with a maximum of 25 documents per package. There is no package limit.
Nota: The documents that are going to be Apostilled/Legalized must have the destination country written in the upper right border.
