Certificates of residence are issued to Colombian citizens who have been residing abroad for at least twenty-four (24) continuous months during the three (3) year period immediately preceding their arrival in the country where they will establish residence.
- Valid Colombian passport
- Citizenship Card and one copy
- Presentation of documents proving residence for a period of no less than that required by the State which is to receive the document.
Note: This document serves as proof of residence abroad for more than two (2) years and is also a requirement to bring the person involved to bring his/her ménage into Colombia and is only valid for one (1) month.
